Stop the Bleed

February 20, 2024 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Free

What should you do if you are injured and bleeding uncontrollably? What if someone you care for, your significant other, or  friend is suffering from a life-threatening bleed? Do you have the knowledge, skills, and confidence to save a life? These life-threatening bleeds can occur anywhere!

Uncontrolled bleeding is the number ONE cause of PREVENTABLE DEATH after injury.

What to Bring:

  • If you have a first-aid/trauma kit that you carry, bring it along and we can ensure that you have a working knowledge of each piece within it. Don’t worry we will not use your equipment.
  • A note book and an open mind. This is not a complex class; the goal is simply to learn how to stop life-threatening bleeding with three fundamental skills: Direct Pressure, Packing, and Tourniquet Application.
  • Although some photos are graphic due to the subject matter, children as young as 10 have taken this class!
